I usually do not like to dress up in fine jewelry or expensive clothes. I was never aware of how drastically my mood could be changed according to what my appearance was like. I never really took the time to do my hair or makeup, let alone shop for beautiful jewelry. My whole opinion of myself changed one sweet day when a good friend of mine turned into a great love of mine. On that same day, when my love professed his feelings for me, was the same day that I wore fine gold jewelry for the first time. I could not believe that in just one day, my life could change so much.

My best friend and I were out to lunch together, as we normally do on our Saturday afternoons. I always loved to spend time with him, I secretly loved him and always hoped things would turn into romance for us. That day, something felt different and as we finished our meal, he told me that he had loved me for years and had not known how to tell me. Then he slipped the most beautiful gold jewelry on my hand. I had never seen such beautiful gold jewelry before, and I certainly had never worn any. I wear my gold jewelry everyday now, and my boyfriend and I are planning a wedding!
