gold jewelry, gold charms When choosing our wedding rings my husband and I agreed that gold jewelry was our metal of choice! We started out our marriage in an accord of agreement. We enjoyed our search for just the right set of rings. Neither of us even looked at anything but gold jewelry.

I have always gravitated towards gold jewelry because of it's luster! I like the yellowish tint and how it looks against my olive skin. 

I find that gold jewelry is the easiest of metals to keep clean and looking new. It doesn't tarnish and holds up nicely. I have found that in a pinch I can simply shine up my gold charms, rings and bracelet jewelry with toothpaste and water. Yes, you heard it right! I use an old toothbrush and glob on some regular toothpaste. I then rub the piece gently and rinse it with warm water. My husband thinks it's a little crazy but let me tell you, it works every time to maintain the beauty of our gold jewelry.  

I have items made of other materials but I must confess the majority of my goodies are gold jewelry, my metal of choice.
